1. About SpoolHound

SpoolHound is a free price comparison and deal-tracking service for 3D printer filament. We aggregate publicly available product and pricing data from filament retailers and present it in a standardised, comparable format. SpoolHound does not sell products directly - all purchases are made through the respective retailer's own website.

2. Affiliate relationships

SpoolHound participates in affiliate programs. When you click a "Buy" link on SpoolHound and subsequently make a purchase on a retailer's website, SpoolHound may receive a commission from the retailer. This commission is paid by the retailer and does not affect the price you pay.

Our inclusion or ranking of products is not influenced by commercial relationships. Products are sorted and filtered based on objective criteria (price, price per kg, discount vs average price) as selected by the user.

3. Accuracy of pricing information

Prices displayed on SpoolHound are fetched periodically from retailer catalogues and may not reflect real-time prices. SpoolHound makes no guarantee that:

• Prices shown are current or accurate at the time of viewing
• Products are in stock or available at the retailer
• Affiliate links will be honored or commissions paid

Always verify the price on the retailer's website before completing a purchase.

4. Acceptable use

You may use SpoolHound for personal, non-commercial price comparison. You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from SpoolHound
• Use SpoolHound's data to build competing products or services without permission
• Attempt to circumvent rate limiting, access controls, or security measures
• Use SpoolHound in any way that violates applicable law

5. Disclaimer of warranties

SpoolHound is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on pricing information displayed on SpoolHound.

6. Third-party websites

SpoolHound links to third-party retailer websites. We have no control over the content, pricing, availability, or data practices of those websites. Visiting a retailer's website is subject to their own terms and privacy policy.

7. Intellectual property

The SpoolHound name, logo, and website design are the property of SpoolHound's operator. Product names, images, and descriptions sourced from retailers remain the intellectual property of their respective owners.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect changes. Continued use of SpoolHound after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
